Yankton’s Matthew Mors Leaving Wisconsin for South Dakota State
Yankton's Matthew Mors is one of the best high school basketball players to ever play in the state of South Dakota and now he is coming home.
As a 3x South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year, Mors was heavily recruited by many programs in the region but he ultimately landed at the University of Wisconsin.
During his freshman season in 2021-2022, Mors redshirted for the Badgers and decided after the season was over to enter the transfer portal.
Mors announced on his Twitter account on Friday that he would be transferring to South Dakota State University.
Mors will join a team that is fresh off a undefeated regular season in the Summit League, a Summit League Tournament Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
SDSU head coach Eric Henderson has to be overjoyed that he is able to land Mors out of the transfer portal and add his talent to a loaded team.
Since Mors redshirted this past season at Wisconsin, he will still have four years of eligibility remaining at SDSU.
