
Everything You Need To Know About Sioux Falls St. Patty’s Parade
Here is EVERYTHING you need to know about the 2024 Sioux Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade!
It's one of South Dakota's biggest events! The 44th Annual Sioux Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade is this Saturday, March 16, 2024.
The parade kicks off at 11 am in downtown Sioux Falls with the traditional Painting of the Shamrock which takes place in front of The First National Bank at 100 S Phillips Ave.
The 2024 parade itself will begin at 2:00 PM at 13th Street and Phillips Avenue in Downtown Sioux Falls.
Philips Ave. and streets adjacent to the parade route will be closed and parking will not be allowed on Philips Ave. starting Sat. morning.
The parade will then go down Phillips ending near Fifth Street.
If you are participating in the parade itself they do require that you have a St. Patrick´s Day Parade button that can be purchased for $3.00.
Proceeds from the $3 button help cover costs and also go to the St. Francis House homeless shelter.
Streets around the route will close at 1:30 PM., Parking is not allowed on Phillips starting late Saturday morning.
This year's Sioux Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal is Denise Ferrie.
The Falls at Falls Park will be lighted green on Friday the 16th and Saturday the 17th.
The Arc of Dreams sculpture over the Big Sioux River will be lit green this weekend.
The Sioux Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade was founded by the late Sylvia Henkin. The current chair is Shawn Cleary.
The event is an all-volunteer effort coordinated by the St. Patrick's Day Parade Extravaganza Committee.
