Kwik Trip vs. Kwik Star Confusion Hilariously Explained!

They are Kwik Star in some states and Kwik Trip in other states. The convenience store put out a very funny map explaining the where and what of the Kwik controversy.

Kwik Trip / Kwik Star is a beloved gas station chain that opened its first store back in 1960 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Kwik Trip was awarded the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, as the company is deemed one of the Best Places to Work in 2021.

They now have over 800 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and Illinois.

But there is some confusion as to where the gas station / convenience store is called 'Kwik Trip' and where it's called 'Kwik Star'.

So to explain they posted this map on their Kwik Trip Facebook page...

And FYI...According to Iowa Starting Line, the reason they're called Kwik Stars in Iowa is because there was already a chain of convenience stores called QuikTrip.

The Zietlow family, who owns Kwik Trip, did not want their stores confused with QuikTrip, which is why the Kwik Star name was born.
