Everyone has stress in their lives, but when is too much, just too much? And are there places that lend themselves to a much lower stress level than others?

The answer to the first question depends on the kind of person you are. Some people really thrive under stress. I know a couple of people like that and personally, I don't understand it.

The answer to the second question was uncovered by a recent study on the Most and Least Stressed Out States in America.

Four main categories were indicators of stress levels:

  • Health stress
  • Work stress
  • Money stress
  • Family stress

This study also looked at things like credit card debt, hours worked, and job commute times.

The number one state on the most stressed list, believe it or not, is Tennessee. Physical health stress was one of the top factors for its top ranking. Low wages and long commute times also contributed to Tennessee sitting on top of the most stressed pile.
