Today is the day the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Jackrabbits are being given a fun and distinct honor.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is releasing a limited-edition (only 2,023 will be produced) bobblehead commemorating the South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team’s 2022 FCS National Championship!

The special edition bobblehead was produced exclusively by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of South Dakota State University.

The SDSU Jacks won their first-ever national championship with a 45-21 victory over rival North Dakota State in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) title game at the Toyota Center in Frisco, Texas on January 8, 2022.

They begin their quest for another championship when they host Western Oregon at 7 PM on Thursday night, August 31, in the first game of the 2023 season.

The "Jack the Jackrabbit" bobbleheads are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum's online store. They cost $40 each plus an $8 shipping charge per order.

For more information, see the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

5 Things South Dakota Gave the World

South Dakota may not get much respect. We get a blizzard and it's a footnote on the national scene, but if Florida gets a bit chilly it's breaking news. But, maybe it's fine to be forgotten about. We kind of like being left alone on our quiet piece of the plains.

South Dakota has given a lot to the world though. Not just giant mountain carvings and settings for HBO shows, but awesome things that the rest of the world should thank us for.
