It was Saturday night (4/13) racing action for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The Toyota Owner's 400 took place on the short track in Virginia, Richmond Raceway.

Martin Truex, Jr. came out on top with the victory after holding off Clint Bowyer and then Joey Logano. This was an important win for Truex in three different ways.

First of all, it marks his first time to victory lane since coming on board with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). Truex made the switch from now-defunct Furniture Row Racing to JGR before the start of the 2019 season.

And besides capturing his first win of the year, this is the first time for Truex to win on a short track. He has been anticipating this accomplishment all thru his Cup career and it has taken 81 tries to get it right.

Truex was being challenged heavily by Bowyer in the final 40 laps. But Truex held the outside and kept the momentum to stay out front. Then with ten laps left to go, Bowyer brushed the wall and allowed Logano to take over second place.

Pole winner Kevin Harvick ran fourth, followed by Denny Hamlin. See where your driver finished.
