Now that Matthew Stafford will be going to the Los Angeles Rams and Jared Goff is joining the Detroit Lions, reports are that NFL teams in need of a Quarterback are now calling the Philadelphia Eagles about the availability of Carson Wentz.

NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo are reporting that with Matthew Stafford off the trading block, the next target for NFL teams is the 2016 NFL Draft second overall pick:

Sources say that teams have begun calling the Eagles on their former starter (Carson) Wentz, plotting a roadmap for a potential trade as teams get closer to the start of the league year. - The Eagles are not in a hurry to trade Wentz -- and in fact as of now intend for him to return for 2021 under new coach Nick Sirianni -- but they did field the calls and discussed the issue. GM Howie Roseman will almost always listen, and this is no different.....Wentz and his agents have not yet formally requested a trade, according to sources, though it's clear his relationship with the team has been strained over the past year and it will require more communication to mend it.

This morning, Eagles Insiders Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher from Inside The Birds reported that two teams that could be top of the list to call about trading for Wentz are the Colts:

Multiple league sources, including a high-ranking executive from a team that attempted to trade for Matthew Stafford and a high-ranking executive from a team with an entrenched quarterback, told ITB that they believe the Colts are the most logical landing spot for Wentz. - The reasons: The Colts have an ample amount of projected salary cap space, a major need for a starting quarterback, and some coaching staff familiarity with Wentz....Sources indicate that the Colts should have a minimum of $55-60 million in cap space, an advantage over other quarterback-needy teams that aren’t as financially equipped to trade for an established quarterback, such as the Bears, who are projected to be tight against the cap.

Speaking of the Chicago Bears, former Eagles Quarterbacks Coach John DeFilippo is now working in Chicago on Matt Nagy's staff; Nagy is also a Andy Reid Disciple like Doug Pederson.  InsideTheBirds.com report by Caplan and Mosher explain more about why the Bears could be candidates:

The Bears shouldn't be ignored in a potential acquisition for Wentz just because of a potential cap issue. Bears general manager Ryan Pace, according to a league source, was believed to be high on Wentz for the 2016 NFL Draft, but he was long gone (went off the board at No. 2) by the time the Bears picked at No. 9.....The high-ranking personnel sources also say they believe the Eagles are willing to pull the trigger on a deal for Wentz
