Three of the four local Universities were able to pick up wins on the football field this Saturday as USF, Augie and SDSU all were victorious.

The lone team not to pick up the W was USD as they suffered their second loss of the season as they fell to UNI.

It was a tough week off the field for USD as two of their players were charged in connection with an alleged rape on campus and you never know if or how that affected them on the field, but regardless it couldn't of helped.

At the end of the day, they just didn't score enough points as UNI defeated USD 34-29.

SDSU's fate ended up being a bit better than their cross state rival as the Jacks were able to topple NDSU and capture the Dakota Marker Trophy.

It was a huge win for SDSU as NDSU has continued to be a postseason nemesis of the Jacks and the win should certainly give them confidence moving forward.

Augustana held senior day at KO Stadium and it went just like you would like it to on senior day as Augie was able to take down Concordia St. Paul 28-13.

The University of Sioux Falls also picked up the win on Saturday as they continued their winning streak on the road in the NSIC stretching it to 17 strait with the 19-7 win over Upper Iowa.

USF now moves to 9-1 on the season.
