Sioux Falls Skyforce GM Adam Simon Named to USA Basketball Selection Committee

Adam Simon has been named to the USA Basketball qualifying committee to help select the next batch of players to represent USA Basketball in qualifying events.

Normally, the USA would be represented by NBA players, but because FIBA has changed their timing of the qualifying rounds, NBA players will be in their regular season during those rounds.

So now, USA Basketball will utilize the resources of the minor league system to the NBA and use NBA D-League players to fill those rosters.

Adam Simon is the GM of the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Assistant GM of the Miami Heat with an extensive background in scouting and has as good a sense of young talent in basketball as anybody.
