Sitting Cam Newton for Opening Play Sunday Night was Moronic

Cam Newton was benched for the first part of Sunday's game vs. the Seattle Seahawks after he violated a minor team rule according to the Panthers radio broadcast.

Sitting Cam Newton on that opening play Sunday night was flat out moronic.

I know a head coach feels that he needs to hold everyone accountable and that is fine, but don't do it on the field for a "minor" violation.

You know what happens when you play the power trip card Ron Rivera?  Derek Anderson throws a pick on his first throw and you start your team in the hole.

The Panthers have been bad this year and that move by head coach Ron Rivera was as bad as anything I saw them do on the field this season.
