Tom Brady Named Cover Athlete of Madden 18, Mocks Madden Curse
Tom Brady will be on the cover of the upcoming Madden NFL 18 video game this fall, and he isn't afraid of any form of curse.
EA Sports announced on Friday that Tom Brady would grace the cover of Madden NFL 18, and that the game would also have a special "G.O.A.T" edition with Brady on the front. G.O.A.T for those that don't know means "Greatest of All Time."
Yes, EA Sports has proclaimed Tom Brady as the greatest of all time. I'm sure that has made some people around here a little uneasy. (For the record, I agree with EA Sports).
About that #ReverseTheCurse thing...
The Madden NFL video game franchise has faced a long-storied "curse" when it comes to cover athletes. Players that have appeared on the cover have found their careers shortened, or have found themselves injured. One of the most notable strikes of the curse was in 2003 when Michael Vick, cover of Madden 2004, broke his leg prior to the start of the season. The game was released on August 12, 2003 and Vick broke his leg August 22, 2003.
But for Brady....let's just say he doesn't believe in curses.
Madden NFL 18 is scheduled to be released on August 25, 2017
