Tom Brady’s Impressive Record Playing in Minnesota
Tom Brady will enter US Bank Stadium on Sunday for a chance to win a 6th Super Bowl, and he's playing in a city that tends to be very nice to him.
Brady, who played two complete seasons at Michigan and is in his 18th NFL season, has had the opportunity to play in Minnesota three times in his career, and against a Minnesota team five times total.
He's never lost in Minnesota, and it never mattered on the venue either. Brady went 2-0 while playing inside the Metrodome (once in college, once in the NFL) and 1-0 outdoors at TCF Bank Stadium. This will be the third venue that Brady will play in during his NFL career in Minnesota.
- 1998: Michigan def. Minnesota 15-10 (Metrodome)
- 2006: New England def. Minnesota 31-7 (Metrodome)
- 2014: New England def. Minnesota 30-7 (TCF Bank Stadium)
As a side note, It's always been nice for Tom Brady at home against Minnesota also. While he never had to play Minnesota in college at home, Brady has had two games against the Vikings at Gillette Stadium.
- 2002: New England def. Minnesota 24-17
- 2010: New England def. Minnesota 28-18
For Philadelphia to win a Super Bowl this weekend, they'll have to do something that nobody else has done. They have to beat Tom Brady in the state of Minnesota.
Brady will have the opportunity to play in Minnesota again, unless he randomly retires out of the blue, during the 2018 season when New England visits Minnesota.
