Well, I took my first defeat in my lock of the week pick during week 4 of the NFL season and I am back to try and redeem myself.

With week 5 being a great barometer test for a lot of teams to try and find their true identity, we are greeted with some very interesting matchups as well.

Are the Pittsburgh Steelers this bad?

Is Minnesota going to get beat by Philadelphia like they did in the NFC Championship game last year?

Will the Kansas City Chiefs continue their offensive explosion?

As great as it will be to get all those questions answered, my lock of the week comes from an NFC North showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

The game is a pick em and most times when a game is a pick em, the rule of thumb is to go with the better QB.

As good as Matthew Stafford is, in this case, it would lead you to take the Packers and Aaron Rodgers.

That said, Green Bay isn't a good team. They have benefited from a decent schedule and a home game last week against Buffalo didn't hurt.

My lock of the week is the Detroit Lions as a pick em.
