Welcome to the NBA G League

Well, it is official, the minor league system in the NBA is now officially the NBA G League.

The NBA and Gatorade announced today (June 20) that we now begin the NBA G League era.

It was announced earlier this year that the then NBA D-League would be transforming to the G League as Gatorade upped their sponsorship with the league.

In 2001-2002, the NBA D-League debuted with 8 teams and when the 2016-2017 NBA G League season begins, the league will have more than tripled to 26 teams.

The "new" official website of the NBA G League is NBAGleague.com and will operate with the new official handle of @nbagleague on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat and by using the hashtag #NBAGLeague.
