The Sioux Falls Pride annual June celebration has grown from its humble roots as a small festival in a Sioux Falls park to a huge parade and festival that attracts thousands from all over the region.

The event celebrating the LGBTQIA2S+ community in the Sioux Empire is on June 8 this year.

When and Where is the 2024 Sioux Falls Pride Parade?

The 2024 Sioux Falls Pride Parade and Festival is on June 8

The parade will start at 10:00 AM that morning in Downtown Sioux Falls. The route begins at 8th Street at Dakota Avenue and travels to Reid Street at 8th & Railroad Center

The Sioux Falls Pride Festival will follow at a new location this year - Sioux Falls Stadium (AKA The Birdcage).

The Pride Festival is a family-friendly event with live entertainment, a kid's corner, vendor booths, and food (be sure you have some cash). The festival will start around 12:00 PM and go until 5:00 PM.

"The festival entertainment begins at 12:00 p.m. with the National Anthem sung by the Rainbow Chorus of Sioux Falls, followed by some short announcements & welcome from Sioux Falls Pride. Drag shows, musical performances, and drag storytime are also scheduled throughout the afternoon. All stage entertainment at the festival is family-friendly. Attendee seating will be available in the stands and on the field. The festival will conclude at 5:00 p.m." - SF Pride

Flashback: The First Ever Pride Parade in Sioux Falls

Hot 104.7 was proud to make Sioux Falls history by being part of the first-ever Pride Parade on June 15, 2019!

Also, I want to give a shout-out to Sioux Falls Pride and a special note to Cody Ingle, who was in charge of the parade. As a participant in the parade, I thought it was put together very well. Everyone knew where to be when and the parade started on time!
