Everyone is familiar with North Dakota State Bison football and its current five-year run of consecutive FCS national championships. But there's another football program in North Dakota that's on quite the run and hopes to make noise in the FCS Playoffs:

The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks.

No. 12 North Dakota completed a 21-point comeback on Saturday over Northern Arizona to clinch at least a share of the Big Sky conference title, its first in program history.

The Big Sky title was North Dakota's first conference crown since 2011 when it shared the Great West title with Cal Poly.

The 38-31 victory included 28 straight points from the Fighting Hawks and a game-winning 40-yard pick-six, courtesy of North Dakota defensive back Deion Harris.

North Dakota State's five-year NCAA FCS championship run is remarkable, but don't forget about the other North Dakota football team. An 8-0 run through the Big Sky conference, albeit while avoiding Eastern Washington, has put North Dakota in a great position to make a run in the FCS Playoffs.

After all, anything can happen once you get to the big dance.

The FCS Playoff Committee has plenty of tough choices to make, but North Dakota isn't one of them. The entire 24-team playoff bracket will be released on Nov. 20.
