QDOBA Bringing Mexican Food To South Sioux Falls Before End Of 2026

The only thing that gets Sioux Falls residents more excited than seeing a 40-degree temperature on a January day is hearing that another restaurant is coming to town.

And now there's another reason to get excited, especially if you live on the city's south side.

Word broke Wednesday, September 2, that QDOBA Mexican Eats is planning another Sioux Falls location, giving local fans of burritos, bowls, tacos, and all things cheesy another place to get their Mexican-food fix.

Yeah, I know, it's technically not a brand-new restaurant for Sioux Falls. But let's be honest: location matters.

If you've ever found yourself on the south side of Sioux Falls craving a grilled steak bowl, you know the struggle of having to make the trek across town to the QDOBA at 57th Street and Louise Avenue. Not fun in dinner-time traffic.

The new location will be at 7204 South Lyncrest Place, according to Dakota News Now. The approximately 2,000-square-foot restaurant is expected to seat around 24 people and employ roughly 30 workers.

And there's another reason south-siders might want to celebrate: You won't have to drive halfway across town just to satisfy that QDOBA craving.

Once the South Lyncrest Place restaurant opens, QDOBA will have four locations throughout Sioux Falls.

And apparently, the company isn't finished yet.

A fifth QDOBA location is planned near Lake Lorraine, in the former Starbucks building. There's currently no word on exactly when that location will open, but hopefully it won't be too long because it's practically a stone's throw from my house, which should come in very handy the next time I'm hit with a serious Grilled Adobo Chicken emergency.

The South Lyncrest Place location is currently under construction and is expected to open before the end of 2026.

The new restaurant is scheduled to be open from 10:30 AM to 11 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 10:30 AM to 10 PM on Sundays.

For anyone unfamiliar with QDOBA, the chain specializes in Mexican-inspired food. Customers can build their own burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads, along with a variety of signature menu items and desserts.

Personally, I love seeing the Sioux Falls restaurant scene continue to grow. Now, if I could just figure out how to get one of those money trees growing in my backyard, life would be really good.
