South Dakota State Holds Steady, South Dakota Drops in FCS Weekly Poll
With one week to play in the 2017 regular season, the gap between South Dakota State and South Dakota is growing in the FCS Coaches Poll.
The Jackrabbits (8-2/5-2 MVFC) stay put at number-five this week, after a 27-24 overtime win over then-number-20 Illinois State.
The Coyotes (7-3/4-3 MVFC) tumble six spots - from tenth to 16th - after a 49-14 loss at #6 North Dakota State.
USD is replaced in the Top Ten this week by another Missouri Valley team. Western Illinois is up three spots from 13th to 10th.
In all, five Missouri Valley teams are in the Coaches Top 25 this week (SDSU, NDSU, Western Illinois, USD, Illinois St.), with Northern Iowa first among others receiving votes, for the second straight week..
