The Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans will be the first NFL game to be played on a Tuesday since 2010. That game in 2010 featured the Minnesota Vikings.

Due to COVID-19 and the outbreak for the Titans, tonight (October 13) will mark the first time in ten years that the NFL will hold a game on a Tuesday night. Circumstances were a lot different back in 2010 for the reason a game was moved.

If you're a Vikings fan, the 2010 season was one that will never be forgotten. It is the benchmark for everything that could go wrong in one single season. Heading into Week 16, the Vikings had already gone through events such as bringing Brett Favre back, starting 1-2, trading for Randy Moss, the Randy Moss catering issue, Brad Childress cutting Moss, Childress getting fired, the Metrodome's roof collapsing, having to play the Giants on a Monday night in Detroit because of the Metrodome's roof, and having to play Chicago at TCF Bank Stadium in the snow that ultimately led to Favre getting a concussion.

What else could go wrong? An east coast blizzard.

Heading into Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings ran into another bump in the road. The city of Philadelphia shut down due to the 2010 North American Blizzard. The decision was made to move the Vikings/Eagles Sunday Night Football game to Tuesday night.

Sidenote, what happens when a game gets postponed due to a blizzard? Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Ben Leber recently shared a little backstory from this game.

The starting quarterbacks for the game that week? Joe Webb for the Vikings and Michael Vick for the Eagles. Webb went on to go 17/26 for 195 yards, while Vick threw for 263 with a touchdown and interception.

Webb also did some work on the ground. He rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown in the game. The Vikings rushing attack was led by Adrian Peterson's 118-yard day. Peterson also had a touchdown on the night.

Percy Harvin led all receivers with 100 receiving yards. Defensively, Antoine Winfield accounted for two sacks and tied Chad Greenway for the team lead with eight tackles in the game.

Minnesota would win 24-14 and move to 6-9 on the season. Minnesota would close out the disastrous season one week later with a loss to Detroit to finish at 6-10.
