Louisiana State University owns one of college baseball's greatest traditions.

With each season's weekend home opener, LSU Baseball and their fans in attendance partake in the "Soldier Salute." Both the LSU squad and its fan base take the time to honor a United States military member for his or her service.

LSU outdid itself last weekend. Instead of honoring one or two service members, LSU honored each member of both the current Army and Air Force baseball teams.

During the game, LSU took the time to shake the hands of each player and coach currently associated with Army and Air Force Baseball.

The fact that LSU took the time during the game to honor these men who love baseball and agree to serve in the United States military is both touching and worthy of recognition.

College baseball is known for its quirks and curious traditions, but LSU's "Soldier Salute" is a tradition all teams should consider adopting.
