Minnesota Vikings First Round Draft Picks from the Last Decade

The Minnesota Vikings will enter the 2020 NFL Draft with two first-round draft picks. Here's a look back at all of their first-round picks from the last decade.

Coming off an NFC Championship Game appearance in 2009, the Vikings elected to start the 2010 NFL Draft by trading out of the first round. Minnesota traded its 30th overall pick to division rival Detroit. The Lions went on to select running back Jahvid Best with that selection while the Vikings picked cornerback Chris Cook in the early second round.

Starting in 2011 and continuing through 2016, Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman was using draft capital and trades to select ten first-round players within six years. Those picks included two quarterbacks, two wide receivers, and a total of six NFL Pro Bowlers.

Following an injury to Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota traded its 2017 first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for quarterback Sam Bradford. The Eagles would take defensive end, Derek Barnett, with the pick.

In total, Minnesota selected 12 players between 2010 and 2019.
