Sioux Falls Skyforce Call-Up Briante Weber Gets 10 More Days
Multiple reports say Briante Weber will get another 10-day ride before the Golden State Warriors either fish or cut bait on the point guard.
First came a story from the San Francisco Chronicle’s Connor Letourneau that indicated the Warrior’s continued interest. Later, Shams Charania of The Vertical reported the same.
So far Weber has appeared in three games and has scored six points in advance of a contest at Denver Monday night (February 13) which is the final day of the first 10-day contract. During the next 10 days, the opportunity for court time would be much lighter because of the NBA All-Star Break providing for only two games on the schedule both at home against Sacramento (February 15) and the L.A. Clippers (February 23).
For the Skyforce, the wheels are turning there as well with the announcement of the addition of rookie guard Stephen Croone who is a 6-1, 170-pounder from Furman University.
In four seasons at Furman, Croone averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 122 career games (118 starts). Croone averaged over 17 points per game in his final three seasons, including a career-high 19.1 points per game during his sophomore season.
Croone comes to Sioux Falls highly decorated. As he was awarded the Southern Conference Player of the Year for his stellar season as a senior.
