The Minnesota Vikings were the better team heading into their game against the New Orleans Saints despite what the records said and they proved it on the field Sunday.

The Vikings defeated the Saints 26-20 with the defense, Dalvin Cook and Kirk Cousins leading the way.

Minnesota's defense made some huge plays when they needed to including multiple turnovers.

After the game was back and forth, it headed to Overtime where Captain Kirk tossed a touchdown to tight end Kyle Rudolph to win the game.

Since Minnesota scored a touchdown on their first drive of Overtime, New Orleans never got an offensive possession in OT.

Cousins ended the day with 242 passing yards and the touchdown to Rudolph, while Cook rushed for 2 TD's and 94 yards.

Minnesota now advances to the divisional round of the playoffs to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

The Vikings head into that game as 6.5 point underdogs which is just slightly less than the spread on Sunday as they entered the game against the Saints as 7.5 point underdogs.

If Minnesota is to win, they would face off against the winner of Green Bay and Seattle.

On the AFC side of things, Kansas City will host Houston and Baltimore will host Tennessee.
