2019 Hoop City Classic Features 29 Games with Top-Ranked Players, Teams
The 2019 Hoop City Classic takes place on December 27-29 and the 29-game schedule is highlighted by a battle between Mason Miller and Matthew Mors.
Miller, the son of former NBA player and Mitchell native Mike Miller, is currently ranked 69th overall in recruiting for the 2021 class. He currently has offers from Memphis, Creighton, TCU, and Florida. His Houston (TN) team will face the Yankton Bucks, led by South Dakota's most standout player Mors on Saturday, December 28 at the Sanford Pentagon. Some other top-recruited names from around the country will come to the Hoop City Classic including Jarrell Colbert and Tre White from Cornerstone Christian (TX).
This is the tenth year of the Hoop City Classic (formerly called the Mike Miller Classic). Teams from around the country will play games at the Mitchell Corn Palace and at the Sanford Pentagon. Teams from South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Massachusetts, and Minnesota will be participating in the event.

- Northwestern (boys)
- Sioux Falls Christian (boys and girls)
- Sioux Falls Washington (boys)
- Tea Area (boys)
- Viborg-Hurley (boys)
- White River (boys)
- Yankton (boys and girls)
The Doug Martin Classic will also return with four college teams taking the court. Morningside (IA), DWU (SD), Trinity (IL), and Southeastern (FL) will play four games at the Corn Palace.
